What Is The Opportunity?
As a Protective Intelligence Specialist at Nisos, you'll join a dynamic team focused on protecting client information in the digital landscape. This role offers the opportunity to leverage your OSINT collection skills and analytical mindset while monitoring and mitigating online threats through Nisos' proprietary Ascend platform. You'll have the chance to develop expertise across diverse issues from geopolitical to cyber domains, while directly contributing to client security by identifying and removing PII exposures. Working in Nisos' Belfast office, you'll collaborate with international team members in a fast-paced intelligence environment that values both meticulous attention to detail and creative problem-solving. This position provides a clear path for growth in the threat intelligence field, allowing you to expand your cybersecurity knowledge while making a tangible impact on client security outcomes. This is a nine month fixed term contract (FTC) with the possibility for an extension.
Who You Are
- You have practical knowledge of OSINT collection and analysis methodologies
- You have practical knowledge of a diverse set of challenging issues, ranging from geopolitical to cyber.
- You have an understanding of methodologies used in determining and assessing the online footprint of an assorted range of entities (individuals, companies, nation states).
- You have basic skills in data collection, management, and analysis.
- You are capable of extrapolating both high-level and granular-level insights from data to produce a concise, detailed analysis for clients.
- Strong writer with an inquisitive mind and penchant for problem solving.
- An effective communicator with a collaborative mindset.
- You have a desire to learn and grow in a threat intelligence-focused environment.
What You’ll Do
- Monitor and triage alerts from Ascend, Nisos’ proprietary investigative platform, to identify potential client exposure of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and other online threats.
- Review flagged content and execute timely removal of PII in accordance with internal protocols and client requirements.
- Escalate complex or ambiguous alerts to team lead and contribute to resolution efforts as needed.
- Collaborate closely with team lead to ensure consistent standards and process adherence.
- Communicate and coordinate with client success team members to confirm actions taken and provide updates as necessary.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of findings, actions, and outcomes.
- Apply foundational knowledge of the digital landscape and cybersecurity best practices to identify risks and protect sensitive data.
- Demonstrate initiative and self-sufficiency in managing workload and following through on tasks.
- Participate in ongoing training to ensure quality and standards, and to enhance your skills.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity, online data privacy, and intelligence principles.
- Familiarity with digital platforms, online forums, and search tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes meticulously.
- Comfortable working on routine tasks in a fast-paced environment with supervisors both locally and abroad.

Where You’ll Work
